Uncover Europe timeless gems
Thinking about next year's big adventure? You’re in luck as our 2025 small group tours of the UK & Europe are now ready to book!
What’s more, many of our 2025 escapes are currently frozen at 2024 prices.* Meaning? If you want to explore the wild landscapes of rural Ireland or journey along shimmering fjords in Norway, you’ll be able to secure your seat for a great price.
While our price freeze will only last until 1 July, there are so many European locations which appear eternally frozen in time. From UNESCO World Heritage cities to verdant national parks, here are just a few of the timeless gems you could encounter on your 2025 Blue-Roads Touring getaway...
Journey back to the Middle Ages in Ceský Krumlov
Charming cobblestone streets, vibrant red tiled roofs, magnificent heritage buildings with a blend of architectural styles at every turn...
That’s what you can expect to glimpse in Ceský Krumlov. This spectacular city sits in southern Bohemian, Czechia and it never fails to enchant visitors with its incredibly well-preserved medieval streets. In fact, its largely untouched historic centre was given UNESCO World Heritage status in 1992 – a testament to its timeless beauty.
Admire its centuries-old facades (including the 13th century Ceský Krumlov Castle) and breathtaking vistas of the Vltava River on our Explore Eastern Europe tour.

Embrace timeless mountain views in the Lake District
“I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.”
That’s the first verse of William Wordsworth’s wonderful ‘I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud’ - a poem that describes a childhood memory of the lovely Lake District in springtime. He may have penned these inspiring words in 1802 – but they still ring true of the Lake District today.
The national park’s lush, undulating hills give way to soaring mountain ranges and glittering lakes studded with chocolate box towns. It’s an unmissable stop on our Highlights of Britain tour – and not just for its extraordinary vistas which have remained unchanged with time.
Our itinerary also takes you to Rydal Mount and Gardens: Wordsworth’s historic family home. Walk in the poet’s footsteps around the property’s glorious grounds and soak up views of picture-perfect Lake Windermere.

Step into the Rennaissance era at Château de Villandry
It’s no secret that France is home to a treasure trove of historic attractions. This includes dozens of splendid chateaus that look like they’ve been plucked straight out of a fairytale.
One such place is the astoundingly beautiful Château de Villandry. Nestled in the heart of the Loire Valley, it was one of the last castles to be built during the nation’s romantic Renaissance period, which ran from the 15th to the 17th century.
It’s been impeccably preserved and really will make you feel like you’ve been transported back to the 1600s as you roam its elegant halls and stroll through its manicured gardens. Why not visit in 2025 on our enticing La Belle France tour?

Experience 19th century Ireland at Molly Gallivan’s Cottage
Venture through the quiet countryside of County Kerry in breathtaking Ireland and you might just stumble across this unassuming dwelling...
More than 200 years ago, its owner, the widowed Molly Gallivan, supported her seven children by turning her humble home into a clandestine pub. She illegally brewed whiskey (known locally as ‘Molly’s Mountain Dew’) and sold it to weary travellers passing by on their way to Killarney and beyond.
The cottage is a unique stopping point on our Corners of Southern Ireland tour. In addition to taking a guided tour of its traditional interiors, you’ll have the chance to witness several demonstrations that offer you a window into the past – from traditional poitin (whiskey) making to turf cutting.

Stroll through storied structures in Granada
Perhaps one of the most awe-inspiring destinations in southern Spain, Granada is a must-see for history enthusiasts.
The hilltop city in rural Andalusia is a treat for the eyes thanks to its fantastic vistas and effortlessly alluring architecture. The UNESCO World Heritage Alhambra is undoubtedly the jewel in Granada’s glittering crown! The fortress structure contains some of the best examples of Islamic architecture in Europe and has witnessed some thrilling historical events over the centuries – including serving as the Royal Court of Ferdinand and Isabella during the 1400s.
Book our Iberian Inspiration tour and spend two days exploring gorgeous Granada – including a guided tour around a few sections of the intricately decorated Alhambra complex.
