With only a maximum of 18 guests on each tour, you’ll enjoy a more personal experience with Back-Roads. This includes receiving a heartfelt welcome from your Tour Leader when you reach your departure destination.  

As well as being friendly, professional and inviting, they’ll be happy to answer any questions you might have before you and your group embark on your journey.  

Getting to know both your Tour Leader and fellow travellers is the first thing you’ll do on your tour. Every adventure begins with a delicious welcome dinner designed to put you at ease and boost your confidence.  

As well as tucking into your first taste of local cuisine and toasting to the journey ahead, your Tour Leader will use icebreakers to help you learn more about your group and discover any shared interests. For most, it marks the beginning of several lifelong friendships! 

Most of our Tour Leaders are either local to or were born in the destinations they cover. Meaning? They have a bounty of insider tips which will help you become more immersed in the culture and traditions of every location you visit.  

From sharing their favourite mouth-watering local dishes to offering suggestions on where to get the best sunset views, they’re full of unique knowledge (and even special talents like bagpipe playing!) that will help make your European escape extra memorable.

You’ll be able to reach them via WhatsApp throughout your trip. Plus, you’ll travel with them every day in a luxury mini coach where you'll have the opportunity to ask any questions as you journey along the road less travelled.
