You're in safe hands

You're in safe hands

We’ve spent over 30 years developing exceptional training and robust incident management processes for our Tour Leaders and Drivers that place your health, safety and comfort at the forefront of every Blue-Roads experience. In these unprecedented times, we are committed to ensuring our Tour Leaders and Drivers are trained in COVID-specific hygiene standards and are equipped to ensure you have the safest and most enjoyable experience possible.

Compliant hygiene standards

Compliant hygiene standards

As standard, our modern fleet of mini-coaches are immaculately cleaned before each tour starts and regularly throughout. Your Blue-Roads Driver will ensure the daily sanitization of all surfaces (with a focus on high-frequency touchpoints like handles and tables). Once we return to the road, additional health and hygiene procedures will be implemented to help prevent the transmission of COVID-19 and increase the safety for our guests, crew and the local communities we visit.

Keeping each other safe

Keeping each other safe

To ensure the safety of you and your fellow travelers, we ask that you take personal responsibility for your own wellbeing by familiarizing yourself with hygiene and safety measures recommended by WHO. These include regular hand washing and sanitization, complying with local social distancing guidelines and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) where applicable. All guests will be required to complete a pre-boarding declaration confirming your understanding of personal responsibilities during your tour.

In response to COVID-19, we’re working closely with our partners and suppliers to ensure they are meeting health, safety and cleanliness standards throughout their facilities and service delivery. Cleaning protocols, hygiene records, reduction of touch points, customer ratings and risk assessment policies will be reviewed to ensure our guest’s safety and wellbeing remains the highest priority. This is new to all of us, but rest assured we are actively working on solutions with our trusted partners to deliver the same extraordinary experience expected of a Blue-Roads tour.

FAQs

How many people will be on my tour?

At Blue-Roads Touring, we specialize in small group tours with a maximum capacity of 18 people (average group size of 14 people). This small group element is one of the key reasons people choose to travel with us. Traveling in smaller groups means our Blue-Roads Tour Leaders can provide a more personalized traveling experience to every one of our guests.

How will we avoid large groups of people?

We’re very eager to explore with you in the future, however avoiding large crowds at popular attractions and locations will be challenging. Our Blue-Roads tours deliver unique travel experiences that naturally visit lesser-known destinations – providing our guests with exclusive access to local experiences and charming, hand-picked accommodation. This means we are able to provide an unforgettable travel experience for our guests whilst avoiding larger crowds whenever possible.

Will I need to quarantine myself before or after I travel?

We are constantly monitoring government and World Health Organisation (WHO) guidelines – and any quarantine regulations will depend entirely on what measures individual countries adopt. For your own safety and wellbeing, you will need to ensure you are fully compliant with any guidance issued from your country of residence or destination of travel.

Will there be issues crossing borders when travelling?

Many of our Blue-Roads tours place an emphasis on exploring one country in-depth and we are constantly monitoring government sites, as well as border restrictions in the countries we visit, to track changing regulations. However, if we need to make any alterations to your tour due to border restrictions, we will ensure prompt communication to ensure you’re adequately prepared.

What if I start to feel unwell on my tour?

Let your Tour Leader know as soon as possible. Feeling unwell on a tour can happen and our Tour Leaders are already trained on appropriate actions to take if this occurs. Before we return to the road, all Blue-Roads Tour Leaders will receive additional training specific to coronavirus safety – ensuring they're prepared as possible to focus on your wellbeing.

Will I have to wear a mask whilst on my tour?

We are constantly monitoring industry best practise guidelines and government regulations as more information becomes available. At this stage, we can assume some personal protective equipment (such as a mask or gloves) may be required for particular destinations and attractions. However, we will provide adequate details before your tour departure so you are prepared according to your destination of travel. To ensure the safety and comfort of all our guests, failure to comply with Blue-Roads policies and government regulations could result in your removal from your tour.
