Revisit the Battle of Passchendaele
Site of three major World War I battles, Ypres was completely destroyed during the third, best known as the Battle of Passchendaele. You’ll visit John McCrae’s Dressing Station at Essex Farm Cemetery, the German Cemetery at Langemark, Vancouver Corner and Hooge Crater trenches museum.

Memorial at Menin Gate
Pay tribute to the British and Commonwealth soldiers killed at the Ypres Salient during World War I. You’ll attend the daily playing of the Last Post under the Menin Gate Memorial, where a bugler has performed every evening at 8 pm since July 2, 1928 – with the exception of the German occupation during World War II, when the ceremony was moved to Surrey, England.
